I was in a band back in high school, Forced Entry, and we played for roughly 5 or 6 years. I quit and got involved in the martial arts for 4 or 5 years right up to my shodan test, then took time off as a woman who did not like the time away from her. We married and for the next 15 plus years I worked and raised my children. My wife had her hobby, and it took a lot of my time, as it was with animals. I helped her with it, but it was not my passion. Years later we split and moved on and although both of us love our children we just were not happy together. Later I met someone, and then I started getting the itch to play music again. Now it has been a long time since I played with others let alone practiced the guitar much at all, but I ended up buying some gear and getting back into it with my brother and Ken Pfrenger who played with us in high school.
Now nearly 2 years later and on our 2nd group of people, we have a strong group of talented people who I really like and enjoy working with. We all have work, families etc. so we only practice once a week so it has taken a long time to get ready to play out, but we are about there. We had our first gig this past Saturday, and it was a heck of a lot of fun to play out again.
I hope we can get the ball rolling and get some paying gigs and have some fun. The band is called "Uncovered" as we are a cover band. We play a little of everything...Night Ranger, Journey, Kiss, Prince, Queen, Cars, Kansas...it is a fun set list.
We will keep you posted on our next gig and if you know anyone looking for a band to fill a spot give me a shout.
